Wedding at Winters Tale Country Barn, in Buckingham

Elena and Hugh’s Special Day was even more special with the backdrop of a stunning location.

Situated in the lush green fields of the North Buckinghamshire countryside, Winter’s Tale Country Barn is an iconic place for a year-round wedding.

We were delighted to be asked to capture Elena and Hugh’s special day at the Barn earlier in the year. The delightful couple completed their beautiful ceremony here, with a lavish meal surrounded by their friends and family.

The Venue

Winter’s Tale Country Barn features the rich woods and elegant low rafters featured in imitation longhouses. Situated in Steeply Claydon, Buckingham, it is a favoured place for wedding receptions in and around Buckinghamshire County.

The star attraction here are the endless gorgeous fields that are ideal for your photographs, and the long hall itself, which is exquisitely decorated in string lights and elegant round tables. The barn makes for a fairy-tale experience, especially when you see the floral arches and carefully tended, lit up trees in the evening.

This wedding venue in North Buckinghamshire is effortlessly chic. From the outside, it resembles a wooden building, giving you the cosy feeling of log cabin realness. When you step inside, your breath will be taken away by the high exposed beams and the clean, welcoming, enjoyable atmosphere

The 17th Century Farmhouse

The Winter’s Tale Country Barn Wedding Venue is situated on the grounds of a 17th century farmhouse. The venue seats up to 120 guests, with the ability to accommodate eighty guests in the evening. You can have your whole wedding here, from start to finish.

Licensed for civil ceremonies, the Barn has its own quiet gardens where you can spend your first few hours as husband and wife (or variation thereof) in the elegance and calm of marital bliss. The barn has been renovated from a hay barn that stood on the same site, one hundred years ago.

This Buckingham wedding venue features an adjacent silk marquis, allowing you to bring more guests and spend time outside. They have a cocktail bar area and space for evening entertainment or for a meal. There is a secret garden for phot shoots, which includes a water fountain and bridal swing.

The Happy Couple

As you can imagine, Elena and Hugh had a wonderful day here, each marrying the special person in their lives. It was a momentous occasion in which both families came together to unite in celebration. The day was beautiful, the night even more so. There are few things in life as wonderful as the union of two families… and theirs was idyllic.

The happy couple enjoyed a video session courtesy of Gaetano Di Giacomo Media Production out in the spacious fields. Together, we created some picturesque footage which will last them a lifetime. The good memories of that day will linger, captured as moments of time in their wedding photographs. We hope they cherish them forever.

Congratulations, Elena and Hugh. We wish you all the best and many years of happiness to come. Thank you for choosing us to be part of your special day. It truly was an honour.

The Crazy Bear Group in Stadhampton, in the Oxfordshire countryside, is a joy-filled venue that is ideal for a picturesque wedding. Whether it be a wedding, a private party, a business meeting, or even a corporate event space in Oxfordshire, the Crazy Bear Group can cater to your needs.

Wedding Videography Prices

Wondering how much it costs to hire a wedding videographer in the UK? Let’s find out…

When you want to get married, there are suddenly a thousand little costs rearing their ugly heads. Unfortunately, the perfect day isn’t possible without getting to grips with the pricing. With wedding photography and videography, prices fluctuate quite a lot throughout the UK, so let’s break it down.

The Benefits of hiring a Videographer

Before we get into the details of pricing, let’s talk about why you need a videographer for your wedding. Most of the reasoning is to do with the quality of the recordings made. A wedding videographer will make a complete, beautiful documentation of your wedding day. An amateur won’t have that privilege.

There’s the question of experience, too. A good London based wedding videographer like Gaetano comes with a rich background of capturing weddings on film, all over the world. They know what works and what won’t work… an amateur has no idea of the tricks of the trade.

Thirdly, people in the UK love to have that cherished memory of their big day captured on film. Come anniversaries or valentine’s day they can whip it out and show their loved ones. Offspring can enjoy seeing their parents married even though they weren’t born yet. A wedding video really is the perfect memento.

With all the benefits of hiring a videographer for your wedding in mind, let’s talk about pricing.

How much does a wedding videographer cost to hire?

If you are considering hiring a world class videographer for your wedding, cost is a big part of the issue. To be blunt about it, a typical UK-based photographer charges in two lots. One charge is for editing, one charge is for the footage. If you wanted to, you could have them film all day then chop the footage together yourself – but again, if you want a brilliant token to remember your wedding by, just pay the editing fees.

An average videography cost in the UK is £500 for the wedding day and the footage creation, then a further £500 for editing it all together into a beautifully finished film. When you get into the large towns and cities, however, the price of a good videographer increases.

How much does a London-based wedding videographer cost to hire?

In London, for example, that price shoots up to around the £2000 mark. There are other considerations to consider that can also affect the price. Do they have to trnavel far? Do they have to stay overnight? Does your videographer need to capture anything special you would like added to the wedding video? Are there any additions to the footage and editing?

All of these are chargeable. To make sure you do not get surprised with an unexpected bill, be sure to have a long consultation with your videographer. Discuss price in depth and get their structure in writing to be safe.

Finally, the number of copies of a DVD you want to give out, as well as the online access to your film, can affect how much a videographer in London costs.

Recommend a Videographer?

Of course, we are a little biased. But Gaetano Di Giacomo takes some of the finest wedding videos in London and is available for hire. WE hope you have a wonderful wedding day.

Wedding Song Playlist

Finding the right tracks to play at your wedding isn’t difficult when you have a little help.

Working out what to play at your wedding is difficult at best. We don’t just mean on the day of your wedding, either. Your wedding playlist is what you listen to on your stag or hen night, what you listen to while hair and makeup are working their magic, and what plays in the car on the way to your wedding.

A wedding playlist is tricky because it should be worked out between the two of you. What if you are both heavy metal fans? What if one of you likes classical music and the other likes pop music? How do you meet in the middle when musical tastes vary so much?

Luckily for you, we have guided many a distraught bride through the perfect playlist and you are in exactly the right place. Today, we want to focus on wedding song playlists… what goes on it, what comes off it, and what will offend your dear old grandma?

How to Create a Wedding song Playlist Everyone Loves!

Here are hot tips on how to get the best wedding song playlist possible.

Pick out your favourites

As individuals, keep track of all the songs that you love for a week or two. Once you have thought it through and have a list of your favourites, go through them with your partner and tick the ones you agree on. This gives you a solid start to your list. You might even find you have enough music between you to last the day.

Add in more than you need

Ever been on a long drive and the music starts repeating? The last thing you want is for this to happen on your wedding day. You need at least 200 songs if you want to make sure nothing repeats itself. If you and your partner come up with 50-100 songs, though, where do you find the other 100?

Can you dance to it?

Further refinement or bulking of a wedding playlist includes checking out any dance tunes from the last two decades. Mr Brightside, for example, is always a hit at weddings.

What else to consider with your wedding playlist?

On top of your own playlist, there are other factors to be considered.

The Wedding Band

The wedding band might not be able to play all the songs on your list. In this case, you can go ahead and consult with the band over what they can and can’t play. Very often, wedding bands have set lists that you can pick and choose from. Keep in mind that the band won’t play all night, either, so you will still need your own playlist as a filler in between.

The Wedding DJ

Again, the chances are a wedding DJ has their own set list that you can choose from. Although the best all-round option is to give them your wedding playlist and let them take care of it all night on your behalf.

How it sounds in videos?

If you have a videographer coming to your wedding, you should think about how it is going to sound in the DVD. In this sense, at least, the old classics like Sweet Caroline and Don’t Stop Believin’ sound the best. If you need that videographer and haven’t hired one yet, remember to get in touch.

Wedding Photography Packages

Your guide to finding the right wedding photography package for your big day.

Weddings are once in a lifetime. They are the kind of event we hope to have once and never repeat. That means that, by and large, we aren’t educated on what works, what doesn’t work, and what should come as standard at every wedding.

For this reason, we have wedding planners, wedding experts, bridal stores and wedding bands. We have a plethora of wedding packages. You can have a wedding package for cake, for videography, for your car hire and for your honeymoon. Today, we want to examine your wedding photography package and what it should – and should not – include.

What’s a Wedding Photography Package?

Your wedding photography package is the set of specifications you will negotiate with your photographer. Generally, a good wedding photographer has pre-planned packages so that you can make an easy selection of the parts of the service that you want. The best in the business offers modular packages which you can chop and choose from, paying only for what you need and use.

What’s included in a wedding photography package?

A wedding photography package usually covers a variety of features and elements that you may require from your photographer on your wedding day.

Some of the things they might include are:

  • Destination wedding travel costs – if you are having a wedding abroad and you want to take the photographer with you, you can get a specific travel photography package for your wedding day.
  • Attendance on the day – a wedding photographer will have to take the whole day to attend your wedding. If paying by hour this adds up.
  • Editing of the footage – if you don’t want your photographer to hand you negatives back, then you need to opt for a wedding photography package that includes editing.
  • The cost of a second photographer to help the first. Sometimes, wedding videos and photos can be done by the same firm.
  • Several printed photos for you to place in an album.
  • An online space where you can browse and order more prints where necessary.
  • Consultations and pre-wedding Q&A, or updates throughout the process.

You’re wedding photography package usually involves you receiving edited photos from the day via USB or digital transfer, but your prints will arrive later. Usually, prints arrive just in time for you to be pleasantly reminded of the results.

How much to pay for a wedding photography package?

A Full wedding photography package can start from £850 and work its way up in price. If you are opting for a full videography and photography service at a high-end wedding with multiple prints, you might end up paying a few thousand. It will be entirely worth it for the memories.

Wedding Movie to Watch with your Partner

Get into the mood for your big day with these top best wedding films of all time!

If you are trying to drop the hint that it is time, then wedding movies can be a good way to start wearing them down. Of course, you should never have to manipulate someone into marrying you – but it doesn’t hurt to put feelers out in the right directions and see how they respond.

With this in mind, we sourced some of the best rated wedding films of all time. They’re not quite rom coms, but they are a mixed bag of fun and flirtatious films. Here at Gaetano Di Giacomo, we have ten years’ worth of experience in all things wedding (and wedding videography), so wedding films are somewhat of a specialty of ours.

The Best Wedding Movies of all Time

What are the best movies to watch with your partner to get you into the nuptial mood? Let’s take a look…

In at number five we have My Big Fat Greek Wedding. A traditional Greek woman falls in love with a non-Greek man, and lessons must be learned the hard way – and fast. What follows is a hilarious turn of events that has your sides splitting. At the end of the day, love prevails, and everyone goes home happy.

4 – The Wedding Planner

A few years later, we were gifted the epic masterpiece that saw J-Lo teamed with Mathew McConaughey in the Wedding Planner. Boy meets girl, girl loves boy, boy loves other girl, girl persuades him to love her instead, wedding planner ends up planning her own wedding. It’s a familiar story.

3 – 27 Dresses

Who can forget the worrying feeling caused by 27 dresses, when a woman tries to stand by her sister as she falls in love with the man that she loves? The couple proceed to the wedding day before the ultimate confusion is reached. Can you put family first when it comes to love?

2 – Muriel’s Wedding

This film is a rom com featuring a duped bride finally ends with everyone falling in love and living happily ever after. She might be a little ridiculous, but by the end of the movie we are all crying tears of happiness for the main character. Muriel is a bit of a bunny boiler, has a terrible voice, and generally makes every man run away, but you know what they say about there being someone for everyone.

1 – Bridesmaids

The bridesmaids go on a wild night before the wedding. There are tears, there is drama, there are broken hearts. Ultimately, however, everyone goes to the church on time and the wedding goes ahead. True love always prevails, doesn’t it? This is such an iconic wedding film that we are still waiting for the sequel. It’s one of the best wedding films of all time, period.

Micro-Wedding Covid

Can you still get married during Covid-19? How to hold a micro-wedding that’s well within the guidelines.

We are all at the end of our tethers with this virus, let’s face it. One of the worst things about the global pandemic in London, however, is the missing other people. You can’t see your loved ones, can’t go to a funeral, and definitely can’t get married – or can you?

Although restrictions change regularly, people are always going to have to be able to get married. It’s more than a human right, it’s a bond. It’s the creation of a family. Such a thing goes beyond essential. If you can’t get married when you want to, then your human rights are at stake.

Micro-Weddings in London

Luckily, the government knows this, so they allow micro-weddings as a compromise. You are therefore allowed to marry during the pandemic, provided you stick to the rules. What are those rules for Micro-Weddings in London in 2021? Let’s find out…

What’s Government Guidance for Micro-Weddings in London?

There are multiple rules, but official guidelines have been set. The government have announced that weddings will be only 6 people maximum. Although this might change, at the time of writing we are still in the January/February lockdown period.

The government has advised that we only consider a wedding where it is detrimental to avoid it. For example, if a person is dying and the wedding needs to take place now, exceptions can be made. All others should hold off if possible.

Everyone should stay two metres apart, wear face coverings, and otherwise follow the local guidelines on the situation. Weddings cannot take place in private homes for the moment, nor should you have a party afterwards.

Despite all of this, a great day is still possible. Weddings aren’t about facts and figures, they’re about love.

How to have a Stunning Micro-Wedding

Just because you must wear a mask and distance yourself, doesn’t mean that you can’t have an elegant outfit, a few prosecco’s, the trip to the church/chapel, and the ceremony. Your wedding can still take place via live stream, even if a hundred guests can’t attend in person. There are upsides to the Covid-induced micro-wedding. For example, think of all the money you will save.

In fact, if you have been planning a budget wedding for a while, now is the time to maximise those savings.

Besides the savings, here are our hot tips for having a fantastic micro-wedding in 2021 and beyond:

  • Think carefully about your guest list, only 4 others are allowed.
  • Have a wedding planner set everything up before and after you, a coordinated effort could save stress and maximise your happiness.
  • Go through with hair and make-up, it’s part of the big day.
  • Don’t do a meal – but you could do canapés.
  • Don’t have a gathering but make every moment between the buildings and vehicles special.
  • Tell your neighbours about your big day. You might find you get wedding gifts even without the ceremony.
  • Honeymoon at home with wine and fine dining for a week after the wedding. Make sure you still take the time off work to celebrate. You can always have a second honeymoon later.

Finally…

Don’t forget the team here at Gaetano Di Giacomo Media Production when it comes to hiring a London based Italian photographer or videographer for your micro-wedding day. It might be tiny, but you still want everlasting photos of the event.

Finding an Italian wedding photographer is harder than you would think. Gaetano De Giacomo has the flair and style only found among those with the finesse of the classically trained. When you decide to choose Gaetano as your photographer, here are a few things you should know about the process.

You Decide the Subject Matter

With all photoshoots, it is the employer who decides what it is that is to be captured. It may be that you need product photography in London for a new website, it may be that you need a wedding or celebration photographer. Whatever you need him for, you oversee the subject matter within the shoot.

You Will Have a Consultation

When hiring a London-based photographer to create timeless images of your favourite memories, it is usual that you would have a consultation first. You can book a consultation with Gaetano through the website or have a chat with him online.

Your photographer consultation should detail what you want to hire your photographer for, where in London you want to shoot, and when you want to do it. You should ask how much an Italian London-based photographer costs to hire, while you are talking. Prices vary from shoot to shoot.

London Italian Photographers are Hard to come by

There are not that many London-based Italian photographers to choose from. Of those that are available, Gaetano is at the top of his class. Not only is he highly skilled in the capture, but he has gained acclaim from many a past client with regards to his abilities as an editor and producer. IF you are looking for a London photographer who can do both, Gaetano is arguably the best in the city.

How to Choose the Best London Photographer for you?

If you find yourself in need of a London based photographer with the elegance and finesse that only an Italian can bring, then the choice is obvious. Gaetano Di Giacomo Media Productions can provide exceptional work with a limited time capacity and an affordable budget.

Italian Wedding Videographer

Capturing Fusion and Destination Weddings with Elegance and Authenticity Across the UK & Italy

Your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, deserving of a videographer who can encapsulate the essence of your special day with grace and precision. In the vibrant landscapes of London and the romantic settings of Italy, an Italian wedding videographer stands out as the ideal choice, especially for couples planning fusion weddings in the UK or destination weddings in Italy. And here’s why.

Why Choose an Italian Wedding Videographer?

A wedding should be an elegant, classic, indulgent affair. It should be lavish and rich, opulent and graceful, and who better fits into this fantasy scene than an Italian? Italy is the home of cinema. All the way back to Cinema de Paradiso, we can trace the history of Italian videographers, and we can see their delicate touch throughout Hollywood. Whether you’re celebrating your fusion wedding in the heart of London or exchanging vows against the backdrop of the Italian countryside, an Italian wedding videographer brings a level of sophistication, cultural insight, and cinematic excellence unmatched by others.

With an Italian wedding videographer, you’re not just hiring a professional; you’re entrusting your memories to an artist capable of capturing the elegance, emotion, and unique beauty of your special day. We Italians have the sort of attention to production values that you would expect to find in big-budget movies, and always come prepared with a myriad of equipment.

Most importantly, our ability to weave the stories of two cultures into a single, coherent narrative ensures that your wedding film is not just a record of events but a timeless story to be cherished for generations.

Fusion Weddings in London: Why a Multicultural Wedding Videographer Matters

London fusion weddings are a beautiful blend of cultures, traditions, and languages. These multicultural celebrations deserve a videographer who not only has an eye for detail but also an understanding of the nuances that make your day unique. An Italian wedding videographer, fluent in both English and Italian, offers the perfect solution for Italian-English couples. They bring sensitivity to cultural intricacies and possess the linguistic skills necessary to capture your day seamlessly.

Multicultural weddings come with their own set of challenges, from incorporating personal cultural details to managing guests who may not speak the language. An experienced Italian wedding videographer can navigate these complexities with ease, ensuring that every moment, whether it’s a traditional English vow exchange or an Italian family ritual, is captured with authenticity and care.

Destination Weddings in Italy: The Importance of Local Knowledge and Bilingual Communication

Choosing Italy as your wedding destination means you’re not just selecting a venue; you’re embracing the rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and historical ambience of the region. To truly capture the spirit of your Italian destination wedding, you need a videographer who is not just a visitor but someone who understands the local customs, language, and best-kept secrets of the area.

An Italian wedding videographer with experience in English weddings provides the advantage of bilingual communication, making it easier to coordinate with local suppliers and ensure your international guests feel included. Their familiarity with Italian and English customs, combined with their expertise in capturing the beauty of Italian landscapes, transforms your wedding video into a cinematic journey that reflects the essence of your celebration.

A Great Videographer makes a Great Document of your Wedding Day

Hiring a videographer is akin to hiring a photographer for your wedding. You could leave it up to a friend, but you know you will not get the level of satisfaction that you would from retrieving the finished film from your videographer. It will not be high-quality, it will not have a professional edge, and it will not have the same production values.

Your wedding day should be something you look back on with admiration. It should be a day made as easy as possible for you. All you should need to worry about is showing up, saying your vows, and enjoying your party. At Gaetano Di Giacomo Media Production, we specialise in capturing fusion and destination weddings with a blend of Italian charm and cinematic flair. Our expertise in both English and Italian weddings, combined with a deep understanding of multicultural nuances, makes us the ideal choice for couples looking to immortalize their wedding day.

When you meet the love of your life, they say there are no bells and whistles. There is no nervousness, no feeling of panic. They say that when you meet the love of your life, there is only a quiet, resounding calmness. This is the same feeling you will get when you find the right Italian Wedding Videographer for you. If you’re planning a fusion wedding in London or dreaming of a destination wedding in Italy, we’d love to hear from you (and hopefully give you the same feeling!).
