Borgo Stomennano Wedding | Cinematic Videographer in Tuscany

Oceana and Jonathan’s wedding at Borgo Stomennano felt like stepping into a dream. Set in the Chianti region near Siena, this 17thm century estate brings together history, Tuscan countryside charm, and the quiet luxury that makes cinematic wedding videography in Italy shine.

Getting Ready Amidst History | Borgo Stomennano Wedding

The morning light filtered through frescoed halls and antique mirrors in the villa’s historic suites. With high ceilings, original frescos, and rustic stone walls, the main house is dramatic in the quietest, most real way.

Outdoors, the estate sits among vineyards, olive groves, and rolling hills. A backdrop that feels both grounded and cinematic.

Outdoor Ceremony in the Terraced Italian Gardens | Cinematic Wedding Film in Tuscany

The ceremony took place in the villa’s Italian-style garden, framed by fountains, cypress alleys, and antique statues. The setting was simple but deeply emotional, perfectly suited for a destination wedding in Tuscany.

Dinner and dancing unfolded in layers across the estate. First, aperitivo on terraces overlooking the hills. Then a long dinner in the courtyard under fairy lights. Finally, an after-party beside the infinity pool that looked out over vineyards and olive groves.

When guests talk about staying at Borgo Stomennano they often describe it as rustic yet cozy and more luxurious than a plain hotel room. That balance came through in the film: grounded comfort, not staging.

Why We Loved Filming This Estate On This Destination Wedding in Tuscany

As Tuscany wedding videographers, we look for places that give space to moments. Borgo Stomennano is that kind of place. Built on Etruscan and Roman ruins dating back to 1059, it feels like a self contained Tuscan village.

It also sleeps about 38 guests onsite, which means the couple and close family wake up here, and the celebration flows naturally from one space to the next.

Tuscany Wedding Videography That Feels Honest and Timeless

Oceana and Jonathan wanted their film to feel exactly like the day. Quiet, full of real laughter, and held by the history of the place. That’s what it became. Walking through cypress paths, glasses raised under Tuscan stars, and laughter spilling into the night by the pool. Real emotion, shaped into a cinematic film.

If you’re planning a wedding at Borgo Stomennano, or anywhere in Tuscany, and want a video that holds the place as much as the people, let’s talk.

Villa Valentini Bonaparte Wedding | Cinematic Wedding Videographer in Umbria

Gabby and Ben’s wedding at Villa Valentini Bonaparte was the kind of day we never forget. Set deep in the Umbrian countryside, this villa blends historic Italian beauty with a feeling of calm that’s rare to find. As wedding videographers, we’re always drawn to venues that give moments room to breathe. This one does that without even trying.

Getting Ready at Villa Valentini Bonaparte | Destination wedding in Italy

Gabby got ready in one of the villa’s grand suites, a room with antique mirrors, high ceilings and soft natural light. Outside, the countryside was completely still. The only sound was distant birds and the occasional rustle of olive trees in the wind.

Villa Valentini Bonaparte is more than a luxury venue. It’s a restored 17th-century palace surrounded by Italian gardens, fountains and wide open hills. There’s a feeling of privacy and timelessness to it. You don’t feel like you’re performing. You just settle in and live the day. That’s what makes it perfect for cinematic wedding videography in Umbria.

Gabby and Ben Villa Valentini Bonaparte Wedding | Gaetano Di Giacomo

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony | Umbria Wedding Videographer

Gabby and Ben’s ceremony was held in the formal garden. A long aisle framed by cypress trees led to a simple arch covered in greenery. It felt honest. There were no gimmicks, no loud design, just emotion and presence.

The sun dipped low behind the villa during the vows. The kind of light you can’t recreate. As Italy destination wedding videographers, these are the moments we wait for. Not staged. Not forced. Just real life unfolding in the best possible setting.

Reception at Villa Valentini Bonaparte | Umbria Wedding Film

The reception took place in the courtyard, lit by string lights and candles. Long tables stretched across the stone patio and the mood shifted from calm to celebratory.

Villa Valentini Bonaparte’s design makes it easy to flow from one part of the day to the next. The garden, the villa, the terraces, everything is connected. And every backdrop feels cinematic without needing to be styled.

Gabby and Ben danced under the stars while their friends passed around glasses of local wine. The kind of scene that builds itself.

Why We Love Filming Weddings at Villa Valentini Bonaparte

As wedding videographers in Italy, we’ve worked across the country. From Lake Como to the Amalfi Coast. But Umbria offers something quieter, more grounded, Less crowded. Villa Valentini Bonaparte sits between Tuscany and Umbria and gives couples a way to have both the grandeur of Italy and the space to be fully present.

The villa has private suites for guests, a pool, and on-site staff who genuinely care. For couples planning a destination wedding in Italy, it’s an ideal mix of history, service and stillness

Plan the Perfect Italian Destination Wedding | Tips from a Wedding Videographer in Italy

Planning a destination wedding in Italy sounds like a dream and it can be. But behind the beautiful views and romantic villas, there’s real work involved. As Italian wedding videographers, we’ve seen what works, what doesn’t and how couples can get the most out of the experience without feeling overwhelmed.

Here’s what we’d tell any couple planning their wedding in Italy.

Choose the Right Location for your destination wedding in Italy

Italy has dozens of regions that feel completely different from each other. Picking the right location sets the tone for your day.

Lake Como: Luxury villas, dramatic scenery, easy access from Milan

Tuscany: Rolling hills, wine estates, soft golden light

Amalfi Coast: Clifftop views, Mediterranean vibes, pastel villages

Puglia: Whitewashed towns, olive groves, rustic and elegant

Umbria: Less touristy, quiet countryside, hidden gems

If you want something more private and cinematic, places like Umbria and parts of Sicily offer peace without the crowds.

Plan The Perfect Italian Destination Wedding

Italy Wedding Planning Tips | Hire Local Experts You Trust and consider the time of the year

The best thing you can do for yourself is hire a wedding planner in Italy who speaks the language, knows the venues and can help you navigate permits, logistics and local culture. The same goes for your videographer and photographer.

Working with a wedding videographer in Italy who knows the light, the rhythm of Italian weddings and the best places to shoot saves time and stress. And if they speak both Italian and English, they can communicate easily with suppliers and keep things moving smoothly on the day.

Italy’s peak wedding season runs from May to September. Here’s a breakdown:

May and June: Pleasant temperatures, lush greenery, fewer crowds

July and August: Hot, popular, busy but stunning at sunset

September: Warm days, cooler nights, harvest season

October: Fewer tourists, moody cinematic light, unpredictable weather

If you’re planning a summer wedding, make sure your venue has shade or indoor options to beat the heat.

Plan Around the Ceremony and Reception Flow and Think About What You Want to Remember

Italian weddings tend to start later and run long into the night. Here’s a typical structure:

Getting ready (late morning or early afternoon)

Ceremony (often around 4–5pm)

Aperitivo hour (sunset drinks and food)

Dinner (served in courses)

Dancing (starts late, ends later)

To keep things smooth, give your guests breaks between formalities. And if you’re working with a videographer, let them help build a timeline that works with light and movement.

We film weddings all over Italy and every one of them is different. What matters most is not how perfect the venue is, it’s how real the day feels. Whether you’re getting married in a 17th century villa or a quiet family home in the countryside, your film should feel true to you.

That’s what cinematic wedding videography in Italy means to us. It’s not about filters or trends. It’s about creating something emotional, timeless and grounded in place.

Final Thoughts | Plan a Destination Wedding in Italy Without the Stress

Italy is one of the most beautiful countries in the world to get married. It’s also full of small details that can make or break your planning process. The best advice we can give is this:

Choose a location that fits your energy

Work with suppliers who understand your vision

Build in time to enjoy the day

Focus on the feeling, not the perfection

Sandra and Patrick’s luxury Montenegro destination Wedding videography at One&Only Portonovi

Sandra and Patrick’s wedding at One&Only Portonovi showed us everything we love about filming in Montenegro. Modern luxury. Natural light. A slow pace that gives every moment authenticity.

The venue sits right on the Adriatic, in Boka Bay, surrounded by mountains and sea. It’s peaceful and elegant. From a cinematic wedding videography perspective, it’s the perfect kind of place.

Sandra and Patrick’s Wedding Morning at One&Only Portonovi Luxury wedding venue in Montenegro

The day started in one of the resort’s private villas with floor to ceiling windows that opened straight onto the bay. Sandra got ready in a sunlit room overlooking the sea. One&Only Portonovi It’s designed to feel open, clean, and personal. The perfect mix between luxury and nature.  The architecture draws from Montenegrin traditions but adds a modern edge. We didn’t need to bring in any artificial light or ask anyone to repeat a moment. Everything unfolded on its own.

Montenegro Wedding Videography | Waterfront Ceremony and Boka Bay Reception

The ceremony took place right on the waterfront. Mountains behind them. Sea in front. The breeze soft but steady.

As Montenegro wedding videographers, we’re always looking for ways to let real emotion carry the frame. Sandra and Patrick’s ceremony was full of feeling. You could hear it in their voices.

Dinner was held at the Limoneto restaurant reached by boat just as the sun dipped behind the mountains. Their guests flew in from all over the world, and the mood was effortless, like a holiday that turned into something more.

Boka Bay is one of those locations that feels cinematic in every direction. You get changing light. Dramatic landscapes. Still water that reflects everything. As the sky turned pink, we captured some of our favourite shots of the day : Sandra and Patrick walking by the shore.

How We Film A Cinematic Wedding film in Boka Bay

When we film in places like Portonovi or anywhere in Montenegro, we aim for natural movement and atmosphere. We don’t over direct. We don’t use scripts. We let your day be what it is, then shape the story from what actually happened.

Cinematic wedding videography in Montenegro isn’t about glossy filters or slow motion everything. It’s about feeling. The quiet parts. The real parts. The things that stick with you years later.

Montenegro Wedding Videographer for Luxury Destination Films

One&Only Portonovi is one of the best wedding venues in Montenegro for couples who want privacy, design, and world class service. But more than that, it gives you space to be present with the people you love. You don’t have to rush. You don’t have to perform.

Sandra and Patrick’s Montenegro wedding film reflects that. It’s slow, grounded, and emotional. The kind of film that makes you feel like you were there.

If you’re planning a wedding in Montenegro, especially at One&Only Portonovi, and want a film that captures how it felt, not just how it looked, we’d love to hear from you.

Elaina and Alex’s magical Villa Aura del Lago Wedding

Villa Aura Del Lago Elaina and Alex Lake Como Wedding

There are venues that don’t need explaining. Villa Aura del Lago is one of them. Situated on the western shore of Lake Como, this 18th-century villa is made for couples who want a dreamy private setting without fuss.

We filmed Elaina and Alex’s wedding at Villa Aura del Lago and it reminded us why this is one of our favourite spots in Italy for cinematic wedding videography. It’s private. Elegant. Full of atmosphere. And the view of the lake is incredible.

An Emotional Start to Elaina and Alex’s Villa Aura del Lago Wedding

The morning started quietly. Elaina got ready in one of the villa’s lakeside suites with views that stretch across the water. One of the most incredible characteristics of this venue is the light in the rooms. Soft and golden, perfect for filming without artificial setups.

There’s something about Villa Aura del Lago that calms everything down. Even with the energy of a wedding day, the space holds you. You’re close to nature but surrounded by history. It sets the right tone before anything begins.

Elaina & Alex's Private Wedding at Villa Aura del Lago, Lake Como. | Gaetano Di Giacomo

A Relaxed Italian Destination Wedding Film in the Gardens of the Villa

The ceremony took place on the villa’s private lawn right by the lake. Few decorations needed and trees, water, and sunlight to complement the setup. The couple read personal vows in a way that was quiet and real.

From a Lake Como wedding videographer perspective, this space is a dream. You don’t need to manufacture moments. You just need to be ready for them. Everything unfolds naturally and the scenery does the rest.

After the ceremony Elaina and Alex took a short boat ride, leaving from the villa’s private dock, a very handy feature of the venue. The film from that boat ride is one of our favourite parts. It’s slow calm and emotional.

Back at the villa guests were in the gardens under string lights eating local food and enjoying the view. Dining here feels like what a destination wedding in Italy should be, magical, personal and full of atmosphere.

Lake Como Wedding Video That Tells a Real Story

Elaina and Alex didn’t want anything flashy. They just wanted a film that felt like them. Their Lake Como wedding video is full of movement and stillness in equal parts. It’s not a highlight reel. It’s a story.

That’s what makes Villa Aura del Lago such a powerful venue. You don’t need to add much. It holds everything already—the views the light the history the privacy. You just need the right people and the right energy.

If you’re planning a wedding at Villa Aura del Lago and want a film that reflects the real atmosphere of the place, we’d love to hear your plans.

Why hire a specialised Italian destination wedding videographer

Relais Villa Vittoria Lake Como

There’s a reason so many couples choose Italy for their destination wedding. The light. The food. The history. The way everything feels cinematic without even trying. But if you’re planning a wedding in places like Lake Como, Tuscanythe Amalfi Coast, or Umbria, having the right videographer makes a huge difference.

I film destination weddings all over Italy. And I do it in a way that feels natural, emotional, and cinematic without being staged or forced.

Local Destination Wedding Videographer Knowledge Makes a Big Difference

Each region in Italy has its own rhythm. A Lake Como videographer, times your vows around the light reflecting off the water can turn a simple shot into something unforgettable. In Tuscany, it’s about embracing the earthy tones of the landscape and working with golden hour. On the Amalfi Coast, you’re dealing with tight alleyways, cliffs, and light that changes fast (Trust me, I grew up there so I have experienced these first hand) and in Umbria things can be wild, beautiful and full of life if you know where to look.

I don’t just show up with a camera. I plan around how the area moves. I know how to work with the space, not against it. That’s what gives the film that cinematic feel without needing to manufacture anything.

A Bilingual Destination Wedding Videographer Helps More Than You Think

I speak both Italian and English, and that’s something couples don’t always realise is important until they’re deep in the planning. Being bilingual means I can speak with your planner, your nonna, your driver, and your celebrant without anyone getting lost in translation.

It keeps the day moving smoothly. It helps me catch moments happening in Italian that still matter in the story. And it builds trust with locals who are part of your day, especially in small towns or venues where English isn’t a given.

                                                                                       Real, Cinematic, Italian Wedding Films

A wedding in Italy doesn’t need to feel like a photoshoot. It can feel like a movie made from real moments. That’s the balance I aim for. Documentary wedding videography with a cinematic edge, shaped by the light and emotion of wherever you are.

So if you’re getting married in Lake ComoTuscany, the Amalfi Coast,Umbria (Or anywhere else in Italy, really) and want a videographer who can move with the rhythm of the place and the people, I’d love to hear about your plans.

The real meaning of Cinematic Wedding Videography

And How I Create Storytelling Wedding Films Without Staging a Thing

I have been filming weddings since I was 15 years old (yes, that long) and over the years I believe I have really nailed the art of shooting wedding videos that go beyond just documenting the day. I make wedding films that feel cinematic and emotionally real. Not because I direct every move, but because I don’t.

I’ll explain better. Here’s what that actually looks like.

What “Cinematic” Means in My Work

To me, “cinematic” isn’t about drone shots or slow motion just for the sake of it. It’s about how the video feels. How the pacing reflects your energy. How the music supports the story. How the light and movement pull you into the moment.

I build each film around your connection, not a checklist. That’s what makes it cinematic. Intentional editing, real emotion, and a strong point of view.

An example of my recent work: Nick and Hannah’s wedding at Villa del Balbianello, Lake Como.

How I Capture Raw Emotion Without Staging It

Some of the most powerful shots I’ve filmed happened when no one knew the camera was on. I stay close enough to catch the details but far enough to let you be you. And that’s why most of my clients say that they barely see me during the day and they’re shocked to see how many incredible moments I have captured.

I don’t ask you to “look over there” or “do that again.” I follow the emotion as it happens. Your nervous hands. A look from across the room. The way you exhale right before walking in.

That’s where the magic is.

A Breakdown of My Process on the Day

The morning starts with me arriving quietly. I never walk in with a huge crew or tons of gear. I stay lowkey so I don’t change the energy of the room.

I film moments as they unfold. Hair being pinned, suits being buttoned, family chatting in the background. No one is “on.” I’m just observing.

During the ceremony, I stay out of the way. I plan ahead so I know where to stand without blocking anyone. I don’t need to run around to get the shot. I’ve done the prep. I always say the prep is 90% of the job.

At the reception, I’m not chasing the loudest moment. I’m watching for the quiet ones. Your hand on their back during the speeches, the way someone’s voice cracks during a toast, your friends doubled over laughing when no one else is looking.

It’s all emotion. None of it staged and that’s what makes a wedding video a cinematic masterpiece: authenticity.

From First Call to Final Film: Here’s How It Works

1. The Inquiry

You reach out through my contact form. I read every message myself and tailor every response to your needs. I’ll share a link to jump on a quick call because I want you to see my face and not just words on a screen.

2. The Call

This is where we talk about what matters most to you. What you hate in wedding videos. What you want to remember ten years from now and of course pricing. But there’s no pressure to book, just a vibe check to see if we’re right for each other.

3. The Booking

If we’re a good fit, I’ll send over a proposal and contract. Once you sign and the booking fee is in, your date is locked.

4. The Prep

I’ll check in before the wedding to get all the details. A month before your wedding we’ll schedule a call to look at timings, names, what to expect. I build a loose plan so I can move around you naturally.

5. The Day

You live it. I film it. You barely notice me. (Easy, right?)

6. The Edit

This part is where everything comes together. I choose music that fits the feeling, not the trend. I cut the footage to tell your story, not just show what happened. This is the moment when I turn into a tailor and I craft the perfect film that is made uniquely for you.

7. The Delivery

You get your film via a private online link. I keep it simple. I want you to hit play and feel everything all over again and also, to be able to share easily with your family and friends.

That’s how I work. No scripts. No fake reactions. Just the real stuff, beautifully told.

If you’re looking for a cinematic wedding videographer who keeps things honest and emotional, I’d love to hear your story.

Nick & Hannah’s Enchanted Wedding Day at Villa del Balbianello

Captured by Gaetano Di Giacomo Media Production, Destination Wedding Videography in Lake Como, Italy.

We were delighted and honoured to capture the moment that Nick and Hannah exchanged their vows in the Villa del Balbianello. One of Lake Como’s most magical wedding venues, the villa has appeared in film and television productions. Hannah and Nick married in a villa made famous by great films such as Casino Royale and Star Wars.

We created a film of our own to commemorate the marvellous occasion of two hands joined in matrimony, right above the sparkling waters of the lake. Against the backdrop of creeping ivy, sumptuous decor, and gorgeous garden terraces, Nick and Hannah declared their love for one another before their closest family and friends.

The day was idyllic. The guests were perfect. The sun set upon the villa del Balbianello and rose upon a new marriage – and we were there to capture it all on film.

A Mesmerizing Wedding in a Breathtaking Location

Nick and Hannah had a spellbinding destination wedding in an exclusive location. Surrounded by the reflection of blue skies on sparkling waters, they exchanged vows and declared their love for one another in front of their nearest and dearest. Under the heat of an Italian sun, the guests laughed, danced, and celebrated the night away as a token of their affection for the happy newlyweds.

The bride looked resplendent in her show-stopping wedding dress. Hannah looked perfectly at home against the backdrop of the antiquated halls and opulent rooms in the villa. Nick and the groomsmen were dashing; the guests dressed in finery fitting for such a splendid locale.

And as they tied the knot together on the shores of Lake Como, the scent of jasmine hung in the air. We were astounded by the finished wedding video, featuring the spiral staircase and sensational views as the perfect accompaniment to a wonderful day.

Marrying at the Beautiful Villa del Balbianello

This illustrious location has a lengthy waiting list for weddings and for good reason. Situated on the shores of Lake Como and with grandiose views out over the mountains, this destination wedding venue in Italy is to die for.

With elegant architecture and a stunning interior, the Villa del Balbianello is lavishly decorated and world-famous for its picturesque, terraced gardens overlooking the lake. Up until the 1300s there was a monastery on this entrancing site. The two fairytale towers protruding over the lake are remnants and testament to that. And where better to marry than in a villa built on holy ground?

The villa was converted in 1785 by a former cardinal. Since then, it has been a wedding venue to capture the hearts and minds of any and all who pass this way – not least to Nick and Hannah, who have found their happily ever after.

The Wedding Cake at Waddesdon

Waddesdon Events have a strikingly special touch to them which other venues don’t quite muster. Part of the magic of marrying in these fragrant rooms comes from Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos. Her inspired installation is of a wedding cake, playful, symbiotic, and dedicated to the estate as a temple of love.

The Wedding Cake is both a romantic haven decorated in baroque fashion and inspired by the 18th century Rothschild garden pavilions. Nestled inside a forest clearing, this beauteous artistic sculpture makes for unique, original wedding videos and photos that will be the envy of your friends.
