We filmed Elaina and Alex’s wedding at Villa Aura del Lago and it reminded us why this is one of our favourite spots in Italy for cinematic wedding videography. It’s private. Elegant. Full of atmosphere. And the view of the lake is incredible.

The morning started quietly. Elaina got ready in one of the villa’s lakeside suites with views that stretch across the water. One of the most incredible characteristics of this venue is the light in the rooms. Soft and golden, perfect for filming without artificial setups.
There’s something about Villa Aura del Lago that calms everything down. Even with the energy of a wedding day, the space holds you. You’re close to nature but surrounded by history. It sets the right tone before anything begins.

A Relaxed Italian Destination Wedding Film in the Gardens of the Villa
The ceremony took place on the villa’s private lawn right by the lake. Few decorations needed and trees, water, and sunlight to complement the setup. The couple read personal vows in a way that was quiet and real.
From a Lake Como wedding videographer perspective, this space is a dream. You don’t need to manufacture moments. You just need to be ready for them. Everything unfolds naturally and the scenery does the rest.
After the ceremony Elaina and Alex took a short boat ride, leaving from the villa’s private dock, a very handy feature of the venue. The film from that boat ride is one of our favourite parts. It’s slow calm and emotional.
Back at the villa guests were in the gardens under string lights eating local food and enjoying the view. Dining here feels like what a destination wedding in Italy should be, magical, personal and full of atmosphere.
