Anna and Bill celebrated their wedding at Castello di Rocca Cilento, a medieval castle set high in the hills of southern Italy. It is one of the most dramatic venues we have filmed. Stone walls. Terraces overlooking mountains and sea. A sense of history in every corner.
For us as Italian destination wedding videographers, the castle offered the perfect balance of grandeur and intimacy.
Morning at the Castle – Destination Wedding Italy
Anna got ready inside one of the castle’s restored suites. Arched windows. Stone textures. Soft morning light. The space felt peaceful. Bill got ready nearby with his closest friends. The atmosphere was calm and grounded.
Filming in a castle can feel overwhelming but Rocca Cilento is different. It holds warmth. It holds silence, It feels personal.

Ceremony on the Terrace – Italian Destination Wedding Videographer
Their ceremony took place on the panoramic terrace with sweeping views of the Cilento National Park. Rolling hills. Medieval rooftops. Light that changed every minute.
The ceremony was emotional and simple. No over styling. Just one of the most beautiful natural backdrops in Italy. Anna and Bill read personal vows and the air felt completely still as they spoke
Aperitivo In the Piazza and Dinner in the Historical Sala De Matteis
Guests moved into the Piazza Scacchiera for aperitivo. Drinks, music, conversations echoing through the piazza which feels like a hidden square. Enclosed. Atmospheric. Perfect for capturing candid interactions.
We filmed guests exploring the space. Touching old walls. Looking out from parapets. It gave the film a sense of place that only a real historical venue can offer.
Dinner took place in the Sala the Matteis. Long tables with the castle walls rising high above everyone. The setting created a cinematic frame without any need for extra design. Speeches filled the space. Laughter bounced off stone. The feeling was completely timeless.
As the sun set the castle shifted from ancient to magica
Party in the Sala Sgueglia
The party moved inside to Sala Sgueglia. High ceilings, exposed stone and a perfect mix of modern and historical. A setting that amplified every part of the celebration. The room filled fast and stayed full.
We moved quietly to capture the fast energy of the night. The lights, the movement and the atmosphere. An incredible dance floor with a world class band on stage made the perfect setting for an incredible party. A castle party feels different from anything else and the film reflects that.
Why Castello di Rocca Cilento Is Perfect for Multi Day Destination Weddings
The venue sits in the hills above the Amalfi Coast region and offers complete privacy with endless panoramic views. It is historic but comfortable. Dramatic but warm. For couples who want a mix of Italian tradition and atmospheric beauty, it is ideal.
Anna and Bill’s film shows why this venue is becoming one of the most sought after castle wedding locations in Italy. Not only for the wedding day itself but also for Welcome dinners and Pool Parties. Anna and Bill welcomed their guests on the day before their wedding with a beautiful spread of local southern Italian traditional food and concluded their wedding weekend with a fun filled pool party day to say goodbye to their loved ones.
